Camp furniture and shelter

A comfortable camp starts with somewhere to sit. Compare chairs, tables, canopies, hammocks and wagons, and see what a family of four really needs on day one.

Frequently asked questions

What camp furniture do I really need?

Start with one chair per person and a table for cooking and meals. Add a canopy if your site has little shade or rain is likely, and a wagon if you park far from your site. The rest can wait until your second trip.

What is the best chair for kids?

A kid-sized chair with a low seat and a wide, stable base. Check the weight limit, look for a frame that cannot pinch small fingers and pick a fabric you can wipe clean.

Do I need a canopy?

Only if your site has little shade or rain is likely. A 10 by 10 foot canopy covers a table and chairs. Stake it down with guy lines, and take it down when strong wind is coming.
